SUZIE SONGTIME

Suzie Songtime is a vibrant and original combination of music, song, and spoken
word for children from 0-5 which was co-created by myself Suzanne Brockett
and Susannah Wilson. Our incredibly animated classes are held with genuine
enthusiasm and vitality, drawn from our past professional experience in musical
theatre, teaching children and love of music and drama - this is not a franchised
business!
Props, puppets and instruments are used to captivate your little ones
imagination and make their first experience of learning through a multitude of
senses using some traditional and innovative music.
To make a baby smile and shake a shaker, to watch a toddler take their first
puppet on their own and to dance with a young child is the most rewarding
experience. These little ones grow in confidence week after week after simply
watching, then processing and reacting to all the colours, sounds and rhythms
which are repeated and then changed each term.
We allow freedom within our classes so that parents and carers do not feel
pressurised. We encourage the whole family to come along with a special rate
for siblings.
I have been working with children for over 15years, privately, in nurseries and
hosting Suzie Songtime parties. I trained at the Doreen Bird College of
Performing Arts, have an Associate in The London Academy of Music and Drama
and hold a full DBS and chaperone license.
Join me for fun and learning on this musical adventure!

Experiencing Tiny Tunes classes helps with your child's self-esteem & self-confidence. Early music exposure can help promote critical listening skills, language & literacy, creativity & coordination in the future. Dancing can be simply moving to a beat and does not have to involve complex routines! This in turn will help develop coordination, balance, flexibility & strength.

Singing & dancing together can become a form of expression when they can't yet talk. It is a joyful & relaxing experience that will enhance the bond & attachment you and your little one share together, so why not give it a go!

THE MUMMAS VILLAGE

Welcome to the village! There is an African proverb that says “It takes a village to raise a child.” At The Mummas Village we want to provide you with a network of experts and other parents to educate, support and guide you through your pregnancy and parenting journey at every stage.
Nowadays many of us live away from our families and our traditional support networks; we want to help bridge that gap and provide families with a community of support, empowerment and fun!
We offer evidence based, logical and down to earth antenatal classes together with fun, stimulating, developmentally appropriate baby & toddler classes, workshops & parties. Our ethos is to offer continuity of care, judgement free support and a safe community for parents to learn and families to grow.
We have teachers right across Surrey all sharing the same passion and drive, we are all mothers and have a huge range of birth and parenting experience. All of our antenatal teachers are FEDANT accredited and we are all fully insured and undertake regular training to keep our knowledge and expertise up to date and relevant. We aim to help you make informed decisions and we will never judge your choices.
We look forward to welcoming you to our village and joining you on your amazing journey.

SING & SIGN

Sing & Sign
(Newborn - 2.5 years)
Sing and Sign is a programme of songs and rhymes teaching simple gestures (derived from sign language) which you can use to enhance communication with your baby, before speech. Your teacher Harriet will use many signs in action songs and rhymes using pictures, puppets and props to inspire your baby’s attention and illustrate the signs. Research shows that signing boosts infant’s vocabulary and mental development, reduces tantrums and improves parent-child relationships. Our older toddler class involves more action and movement, whilst encouraging basic vocabulary.
When: Every Monday morning (30 mins per class)
9.45am – Stage 2 (14 months – 2.5 years)
10.30am – Stage 1 (5 months – 14 months)
11.15am – Babes (0 – 6 months)

LITTLE KICKERS

We have four different football classes each tailored to a different age group. However, we have two core beliefs that we take into every session.

Firstly, we believe in something we call “Play not Push”. It means teaching football in a fun, pressure-free environment. We want to give children a positive introduction to sport as a whole, not just football, so they’re more likely to stay healthy and active throughout their lives.

Secondly, we believe football can be educational. Coached in the right way it can stimulate imagination and aid early development skills such as learning colours and numbers, following instructions and playing as a team.

It’s an approach that has bagged us numerous awards and helped us expand globally over the last 16 years. And like all our Kickers, we never stop learning. We’re continually improving and updating our classes, based on feedback and input from child health specialists as well as our network of over 2,250 football coaches worldwide.
